Planners, others face challenges for workforce
If North Idaho is to remain competitive in attracting business, it must deal with the issue of affordable housing for the workforce.
That’s the biggest problem facing the community, and the area is losing ground, as housing prices escalate faster than income.

The central question, which depends largely on income, is "how much house can I afford," she said.
The answer is "not much," according to the current average median family income in Casper of $60,100, the number where half the family incomes are higher and half are lower.
