University of Montana signs pacts for global opportunities in Chile, Italy, and Spain

Students and researchers at the University of Montana now have official ties to universities in Chile, Italy and Spain.

On Friday afternoon, UM President George Dennison signed an exchange agreement with leaders of four other universities. A fifth representative from the University of Siena in Italy was unable to attend the signing in Missoula, but is expected to add his name to the intercontinental agreement as well.

The agreement marks an opportunity for the University of Montana to work with distinguished institutions on matters of international importance, Dennison said.
