Once nearly extinct, Missoula’s International Wildlife Film Festival celebrates 30 years

Thumbing through the program of the 30th International Wildlife Film Festival http://www.wildlifefilms.org/ , it’s hard to believe that a mere seven years ago, many had written the festival off as being on the brink of extinction.

The list of festival sponsorships is now a corporate roll call, but with a big helping of local flavor – not what you would have anticipated in those lean years when the festival, mired in debt, briefly closed shop at its Roxy Theatre home in late 2000.

The 30th Anniversary International Wildlife Film Festival is here in Missoula, Montana May 12-19!
