Montana Career Opportunity – Sub-Center Manager PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center)

Responsibilities:

This is a professional position available with Prospera Business Network, created to provide comprehensive, technical assistance in government contracting procedures, contract management, and cost/pricing of contracts to individuals and firms contemplating doing business with Federal, State, and local government agencies. Responsibilities will include: day-to-day operation of the Montana Procurement Technical Assistance (PTAC) Sub-Center located in Bozeman.

The Manager must be able to work independently to provide training and technical assistance to clients through individual counseling, small-group workshops and seminars. The individual must have computer knowledge which includes: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and the internet. The Manager needs an extensive knowledge of Federal, State and local acquisition regulations, along with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

The applicant must have a business background, preferably in small business contracting or as a Governmental agency Contracting Officer or administrator. The required knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Public Administration; specialized coursework in Government contracting and at least five (5) years experience directly related to Government contracting in the private or public sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
