Italian pasta makers may be importing Montana wheat soon as a result of a Montana World Trade Center http://www.mwtc.org trade mission, Rep. Denny Rehberg said Wednesday.

The visit also resulted in a cooperative agreement with an Italian university and possible new business for several Montana companies

Arnie Sherman, executive director of the Missoula-based trade center, was less reserved, calling the meetings historic because "for the first time we’re taking a Montana-branded product, durum wheat, in the global market place."

Rehberg hails recent Montana trade mission to Italy
A group representing nearly a dozen organizations returned recently from a five-day trade mission to northern Italy and was hailed by Montana Rep. Denny Rehberg as a "superb team effort."
