Venture Capital: Rolling big dice on retail goods with new incubator. "The Branding Foundry"

Rowland Hanson has helped launch dozens of consumer products over the years, from cosmetics to exercise equipment to the Betty Crocker frostings and brownies that line millions of American pantries.

Now, the 53-year-old marketing guru, who while at Microsoft in the mid-1980s coined the Windows name, is putting his expertise behind a new firm called The Branding Foundry http://www.thebrandingfoundry.com/ that will help struggling entrepreneurs commercialize their ideas.
