Volunteers sought for Missoula County I-2 Oversight Committee

The Initiative to Alter Law Enforcement Priorities and make Adult Marijuana Offenses the Lowest law Enforcement Priority in Missoula County (Initiative 2006-02) was passed by Missoula County voters in the November 2006 election. The Initiative requires the creation of a Community Oversight Committee.

Missoula County is soliciting applications for the following positions:

3 County Residents
1 Harm Reduction Advocate
2 Criminal Defense Attorneys
1 Civil Liberties Advocate
1 Medical Marijuana Patient
1 Drug Abuse and Prevention Counselor

Applications are available at the County Commissioners Office in the Courthouse Annex or online at: http://www.co.missoula.mt.us (see Press Release and Application at Home Page). Submissions may be faxed to (406) 721-4043. Deadline for Applications: 5:00 pm, Friday, January 26, 2007.
