Seeley Lake’s Pyramid Lumber upgrades computer system

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

This technologically savvy team is working to install the latest upgrade at the Pyramid Mountain Lumber Co. mill in Seeley Lake. The computer code they’re creating will help ensure the mill gets every last board foot possible from the wide variety of logs processed each day at the facility.

Seven computers, a pair of high-tech digital cameras and about 20 miles of wire will take the guesswork out of finding which angle will create the most boards from every single log that rolls into the mill.
