Powering forward: MonTEC to become an alternative energy training site

Gusts of wind caused a small wind turbine in Hellgate Canyon to swivel atop its 60-foot pole Tuesday afternoon, while bursts of sunshine reflected off solar panels nearby.
It took two years to acquire the wind turbine and solar photo voltaic system, and two years more to actually hook them up to the Montana Technology Enterprise Center http://www.montec.org , or MonTEC. Now the turbine and its solar counterpart are generating up to 12 kilowatts of electricity to help power the building.
