North Dakota working hard to win back skilled workers

North Dakota has an image problem — that whole thing about winds howling across cold, flat, empty plains.

The state also has a reality some states would envy: a strong economy that is adding jobs faster than the nation and an unemployment rate that’s the region’s lowest.

Only problem is, it’s getting harder to find skilled workers to fill those jobs. And strong economies don’t stay that way in the long run if workers are scarce.
