The Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation http://www.thecati.com/ has received recognition for its technology-based economic development programs.

An award from the International Economic Development Council http://www.iedconline.org/ recognizes CATI’s work in developing a $40 million patent portfolio from national companies such as Kraft Foods, S.C. Johnson, and Boeing.

The portfolio also includes six license agreements, five company product line expansions, and three new company launches within the last two years.

CATI’s commercialization management model assists businesses through product development, new market assessment, and by acquiring and licensing applied technologies that are developed – and mostly unused – by private industry and transferring it to entrepreneurs and existing businesses.
