Giving kids a flying start – Laurel Aviation and Technology Week – Would you like to help put this on?

The sky is the limit for kids to learn about the possibilities open to them as the 2007 Laurel Aviation and Technology Week approaches.

The four days of events give thousands of students a chance to consider their "career potential and opportunities," said Laurel Schools Superintendent Josh Middleton.

"It provides opportunities, shows the possibilities for the students, not just from Laurel, but the surrounding areas," Middleton said.

Held in Laurel schools and at the airports in Laurel and Billings, the events feature speakers and more than 100 displays on cool gizmos and flying fortresses.

Assistance is needed to put on the 2007 Laurel Aviation and Technology Week, which is May 7-10.

Anyone interested in volunteering, speaking or having a technology display at the events should contact organizers.

Sponsorships are being accepted and, depending on the amount of the cash gift or in-kind donation, entitle donors to a variety of benefits, including being listed in programs, tours and access to events.
