Well of course we had to do it again. We decided that just as soon as the publisher signed off on the checks reimbursing our beer-gorging expenses for last year’s first annual (we hope) Golden Growlers.

Besides, we conducted last year’s taste-testing thoroughly half-assedly, as no one was too shy to tell us, leaving so much room for improvement that it would have been almost criminal not to go back for another round, with a completely new and semi-legitimate methodology in tow (see sidebar). Most importantly, this year’s taste test was conducted blind. Unless they just recognized it from the last time they had it, nobody knew what they were drinking. No more comments on the labels.
