Richland Economic development explores offering revolving loan fund

Richland Economic Development officials approached Richland County commissioners Wednesday about the possibility of establishing a revolving loan fund.

“This has been a dream of economic development for years,” Richland County Commissioner Mark Rehbein told the Herald.

Mike Conlon, vice president of Richland Economic Development and chairman of the group’s finance committee, says the organization has considered a revolving loan pool for several years.

“We have an opportunity with some of the tax revenue currently coming into the county,” Conlon said.
