Bush nominates D.A. Davidson executive, Ron Tschetter to head Peace Corps

A top executive at D.A. Davidson & Co. has been nominated to head the Peace Corps, the company announced Tuesday.

Ron Tschetter, who has served as president of the Great Falls-based investment brokerage firm for about two years, has been tabbed as the next director of the Peace Corps, an agency with 7,810 volunteers and trainees in 75 countries.

Tschetter, 64, was nominated for the post by President George W. Bush. The senate must approve the nomination for Tschetter to get the post.
