Resodyn Corp. of Butte wins $100,000 contract for aircraft coating system

Resodyn Corp. http://www.resodyn.com/ of Butte has been awarded a Phase I competitive contract worth $100,000 from the Air Force under the Small Business Innovation Research program.

Under the sponsorship of this contract, Resodyn will develop new technology to apply solventless, liquefied powders as an advanced aircraft coating system.

Scott Coguill, senior materials engineer at Resodyn, and principal Investigator on the project, says that “The advanced coating process will reduce the amount of solvent emissions that occurs during aircraft coating processes.” He said the material to be applied is a powder and forms a tough film, which will be highly resistant to erosion and provide a superior, low-maintenance coating.
