Invizeon Corp. of Missoula, MT. – Challenging the limits of communication – One preparedness step at a time.

It was after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 that Invizeon http://www.invizeon.com really came on the scene.

The Missoula-based technology company had been working to build coalitions of state and county public health, emergency response and health care communities using the CHAIN (Community Health Alert and Information Network) program it had developed.

Shortly after 9/11 Montana Sen. Max Baucus read an Invizeon white paper describing CHAIN and how it could help the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention share critical information with public health departments and private health care providers. Baucus was impressed and forward the information to the CDC, suggesting that they contact Invizeon chief executive officer David Todd in Missoula.

That contact came in just two or three days. After convincing demonstrations of the concept to CDC officials online and then in Atlanta, Invizeon partnered with AT&T Government Solutions to begin jointly marketing CHAIN to public health departments and first-responder groups across the country.

One preparedness step at a time – Part 2 on Missoula-based Invizeon

By BILL SCHWANKE of Missoulian.com

In late June the Montana Department of Corrections launched the use of the CHAIN system to improve the process of alerting department and other key state officials of major incidents at correctional facilities throughout Montana.

CHAIN is a program developed and marketed by Invizeon Corp. a Missoula-based company specializing in rapid, controlled communications.

In the case of DOC, CHAIN automates the notification of selected agencies and individuals in the case of priority incidents such as escapes, deaths, power outages, suicides, assaults, riots, hostage situations or sabotage. Each incident carries its own priority level in terms of who is notified and how.

David Skilling, executive vice president of Invizeon for client services, said the DOC system will be operated primarily out of the command post at the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge.

Vision, connections brought Alderson to Invizeon, Missoula – Part 3 of 3 on Missoula-based Invizeon

By BILL SCHWANKE of Missoulian.com

Greg Alderson was attracted to Invizeon by its leader’s vision and the chance to live in Missoula.

The chance to live in Missoula was the final key when Greg Alderson was deciding to leave Microsoft Corp. management positions in finance, operations and product marketing to come to work for Invizeon Corp.

Now Invizeon’s chairman and chief executive officer, the former certified public accountant and management consultant had built an extensive background with startup technology companies. In fact he has held CEO, COO, CFO and/or board positions with four technology companies.

But as they say, it’s often not what you know but whom you know that makes things happen in the business world.
