Anyone familiar with Butte’s Jon Sesso knows he always has plenty to say, making his speechless appearance on The Daily Show even funnier than intended.

So what left him at a rare loss for words?

“They asked me to tell a joke,” Sesso said. “I’ve never been any good at remembering jokes.” Editing cuts made it seem like Sesso was struggling to think of things visitors could do on a vacation to Butte besides gaze at the Berkeley Pit.
