Havre, Montana public schools try marketing effort to attract potential residents and more students.

Havre Public Schools http://www.havre.k12.mt.us/ plans to launch a widespread marketing effort aimed at showcasing its facilities to new and potential residents in hopes of attracting more students.

A revamped Web site, television and radio ads, new signs for all district buildings and a weekly calendar of school-related events are in the works.

‘‘Havre Public Schools needs to be promoted because those of us who live here are ingrained to think these programs are always there, but not everyone has children in school,’’ assistant superintendent Dennis Parman said.
