Group will use $5 million to lure high-paying industries to the Boise Valley
Treasure Valley economic development officials have raised $5 million for a program they hope will generate $650 million in capital investment in the area.
The Boise Valley Economic Partnership will unveil the details of its successful fund-raising drive at its annual meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m today at the Nampa Civic Center.
The Valley Initiative for Prosperity will be a five-year program to market the Treasure Valley to relocation experts used by companies interested in moving to new cities. Industries to be targeted include computers and electronics, transportation, warehousing, software, telecommunications, health care, biotechnology, nanotechnology and equipment manufacturing.
