12 businesses and organizations recognized for their commitment to public education in Billings. Does your company volunteer to help educate the future leaders of Montana?

When visitors are expected at Ponderosa Elementary, it’s tradition to send a student to meet them at the door, and every Friday the children clamor for the chance to greet the guests who arrive wearing yellow polo shirts. They are volunteers from Kampgrounds of America, the school’s business partner through Partners in Education.

For an hour, the volunteers visit classrooms, work with students to perfect basic skills and encourage teachers.

It’s been a tradition for three years, and during Tuesday’s second annual Partners in Education Salute Luncheon, KOA was recognized, along with 11 other businesses and organizations for their commitment to public education in Billings.
