Miles City man, Currie Corbin provides L. Frank Baum exhibit for Gonzaga

You don’t have to be in Kansas anymore to see a collection of L. Frank Baum items. Gonzaga University here has memorabilia related to the author of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" on display for the next two months.

Currie Corbin, who grew up in Miles City, has spent more than a decade collecting items related to Baum, whose Oz books were the Harry Potter equivalent of their time. The items went on display Monday at the Foley Center.

"Baum is one of the most collected authors on the market," Corbin said. "Everyone is familiar with `The Wizard of Oz.’"
