Sen. Baucus’ Office Seeking Montana Companies that Import Goods from Other Countries to Sell or Use in Manufacturing for New Customs Authorization Bill

David Cobb, Field Director for Senator Baucus in Bozeman, asked for help with the following:

The finance team is working on a customs authorization bill this spring and they have asked for our input. Specifically, references of Montana companies or businesses who are importing goods from other countries to sell here or use in their manufacturing or finishing process.

Obviously it is important that we reach out to Montana businesses who may be affected by any changes in the Customs procedure.

If any of you know of Montana companies who import goods to sell or (especially) use in their manufacturing processes AND who might be willing to discuss customs issues (import duties, paperwork, etc. etc.), please send me their contact information. I’ll pull it together and send it to David.
