Senator Max Baucus encourages Park county, Livingston to get into wind energy

The local effort to develop a wind energy project in Park County is generating interest at the federal level.

U.S. Sen. Max Baucus http://baucus.senate.gov/ visited Livingston Tuesday to extend a helping hand to community leaders involved with the project and to discuss recent action in Congress that provides economic incentives to local governments for developing wind energy.

His message was simple — in a world of uncertainty and competing interests, America needs to act quickly to develop alternative sources of energy and free itself from dependence on foreign oil.
