Salt Lake-based nonprofit venture capital accelerator The Wayne Brown Institute seeks entries for VC forum

Salt Lake-based nonprofit venture capital accelerator The Wayne Brown Institute has announced its call for entries to the third annual Investors Choice Southeast Venture Capital Forum, set for May 10 and 11 in Birmingham, Ala.

A detailed executive summary, a one-page facts sheet and a nonrefundable application fee of $195 must be submitted to WBI by March 30 for a company to be considered for participation in the conference.

Those who attend the event will participate in the venture capital fund-raising process by receiving mentoring and expert feedback on business plans and models. In addition, they will be able to present their ideas and make their pitches for funding in front of a roomful of venture capitalists and other investors.

Materials will be reviewed by a panel of senior venture capitalists who will then select some companies immediately and place those remaining in a pending status file to be notified later. An additional $500 presentation fee is required of those companies selected to present at the conference.
