TV, movie workers rail against Montana film council

A group of nearly five dozen television and film workers called on the governor’s office Friday to replace the Montana Film and Television Advisory Council with a smaller number of members that better represent them.

The coalition, composed of mostly behind-the-scenes laborers like grips and gaffers, told council members they believe the 28-member panel is too large to be effective and that a clash of egos and personal agendas is slowing its progress.

The council was appointed by Gov. Brian Schweitzer last summer to attract the film industry back to Montana.
