Brian Thorp’s two-foot-high wooden sculpture of an African-looking masked head stands out at the Made in Montana Marketplace trade show. And that’s no easy feat.

Displays of novel items such as natural insect repellent and pottery created with a horsehair technique line the Civic Center Convention Center for the event.
