3 Rivers Telephone Cooperative Takes Equity Stake in IPTV Provider Auroras Entertainment, LLC in Kalispell, Montana

Auroras Entertainment, LLC http://www.auroras.tv and 3 Rivers Telephone Cooperative http://www.3rivers.net
announced today the completion of a significant equity investment by 3 Rivers in the start-up
IPTV company, Auroras.

Headquartered in Fairfield, MT, 3 Rivers Telephone Cooperative is a
leading provider of local telephone, long distance, fiber to the home, DSL, and other
communications services. Auroras, headquartered in Kalispell, MT provides Internet Protocol
Television services (IPTV) to communications companies nationwide.

As a result of this investment, 3 Rivers is poised to be among the first telephone companies in
the nation to deploy advanced MPEG-4 video entertainment services to its customers. Darren
Moser, General Manager of 3 Rivers explained, “We believe that Auroras has a great IPTV
solution for rural telcos. Their recent demonstration in Montana of DVB-S2 satellite
compression and MPEG-4 integration convinced us that this is a talented and innovative team
that really understands our business needs. Our participation will help us to ensure that our
customers receive the most advanced and up to date communications available. We also think
it’s terrific that a company of this potential is headquartered in our state.”

Auroras CEO Diane Smith said, “To have a company of 3 Rivers reputation and position in the
industry affirm its strong faith in our solution is outstanding. We were thrilled that 3 Rivers
would be our customer, we are now even more thrilled that they will sit on our Board and help
guide the direction of the company.”

Auroras anticipates commercial availability of its MPEG-4 IPTV solution this summer and has
been working with customers nationwide, including 3 Rivers, to optimize its service for their
needs. The Auroras solution will allow smaller or geographically dispersed telecommunications
companies to successfully deploy the first truly on-demand video services.

This service was
demonstrated earlier this month in Whitefish, MT to a standing-room only crowd of
communications company executives from Canada and the U.S.
