World’s largest plastic display – 10 inches diagonally -could be ready in 3 years and has the resolution of a normal computer screen

A UK based company, Plastic Logic, has created the world’s largest plastic display – measuring ten inches diagonally. The display has a resolution of 100 pixels per square inch, about the same as a normal computer screen. The flexible screen uses electronic ink that is made up of black and white particles suspended in the liquid. When a positive charge is applied, black particles go to the top, whereas white particles go up when a negative charge is applied. This technology allows for any black and white image to be displayed. The .4 mm thick display could be ready for mass production in three years or so.
