All wired up: University of Montana’s computer network gets a new home

A long holiday weekend in the middle of winter break seemed the ideal time to pull the plug on all computers at the University of Montana and embark on a three-day effort to move the core campus network into new quarters.
On Sunday, the once-in-a-lifetime outage and moving plans were on schedule, said Ray Ford, associate vice president for Information Technology.
