$1.3 million Primary Sector Workforce Training Funds Available for Montana Businesses that Create at Least Ten (10) New Jobs.

Worker training funds from the Montana Department of Commerce are available from the Primary Sector Workforce Training Grant (WTG) program. The Primary Sector Workforce Training Grant (WTG) program is a state-funded program that was moved from the Governor’s Office to the Department of Commerce during the 59th Legislature and is an essential component of Governor Schweitzer’s economic development plans for Montana.

$1.3 million is available annually from the program. The program is targeted toward businesses that create at least ten (10) net, new jobs that pay at least the lower of the current county average or the current state average. The grant program was designed for primary sector businesses that are expanding and adding workers.
