Now is the time to show your ‘Community Spirit’ $1,000 in prize money available for first-ever Central Montana Community Spirit Award

Giving back to our community is a Central Montana tradition.

This year, it can also earn you a grand prize of $500 as part of a new contest beginning this week.

Central Montana businesses, clubs and individuals are all invited to compete for the first-ever “Community Spirit Award.” The award will be given for the community service project conducted during 2005 that best exemplifies the spirit of service and has the most positive impact on our area.

No project is too big or small and entries will be accepted from any type of local organization, business or individual, from Lewistown or any of the surrounding Central Montana communities.

“The Community Spirit Award is an extension of the Make A Difference Day contests held in the past,” said Jennifer Pfau, who is helping to coordinate the event. “We wanted to recognize projects that were done all throughout the year and not just in the fall.
