MSU seeking ideas on energy issues

Montanans have an opportunity to provide comments that may affect future energy policy through a survey operated by Montana State University Extension.

The online survey, at http://www.weatherization.org/energycostsurvey.htm, is part of the feedback process that MSU Extension Housing and Environmental Health specialist Mike Vogel will use to develop programs and resources to help Montanans deal with escalating energy costs.

The U.S. Department of Energy is predicting a 71 percent increase in natural-gas prices this winter, and gasoline prices may top $4 per gallon within weeks.

Since the oil embargo days of the 1970s, MSU Extension has been at the helm of many public-education programs that help people save money by conserving energy.
