It's time to get the Roundtable back together. We're pleased to host Mario Schulzke who will discuss his experiences and insight into the challenging world of advertising and marketing. He brings a wealth of knowledge and success from the wilds of Los Angeles. It will be an exciting presentation that will have immediate insights into marketing that you can take back to your business. You'll meet others who share the same challenges and we'll all have a great time learning what it's like to work at a company called Wongdoody.

Mario's focused discussion on "Business development from an Ad Man’s perspective" will include such topics as “Have the wisdom to say “NO”, “Make business development everybody’s business” and how to “Generate more buzz.”

Please RSVP to russ@matr.net. We look forward to your active participation.

Mario Schulzke, New Business Manager/ Strategist

Mario manages WONGDOODY’s new business program. During his tenure, agency-wide head-count doubled and he was forced to share an office with a guy named Steve. Client wins include Autodesk, Dairy Queen, T-Mobile Hotspots, Full Tilt Poker, Loreto Bay and Augustine Casino.

Former SoBA Student, Mario Schulzke Wins Prestigious Southern California Advertising Competition. http://www.business.umt.edu/news/new ... 91&zoneid=3

Mario, who was born and raised in Germany, made his first thousand Deutschmarks at the age of nine, selling horse dung to a rapidly growing crowd of stay-at-home mums and hobby gardeners. And he claims that if it wasn’t for his mum’s inexplicable unwillingness to chauffeur those smelly buckets of poo, he might have made a career out of it. Instead his professional career kicked off by working for a marketing communications firm in Montana, managing the PR program for a variety of clients. This was followed by a consulting stint with the American Sugar Association. He’s currently transitioning from a business development role to contributing as a marketing strategist to WONGDOODY’s clients business.

Mario teaches undergraduate/graduate marketing and advertising strategy classes at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Just recently, he was awarded the Monty McKinney Award for Advertising Excellence by the American Advertising Association.

Mario graduated summa cum laude from the University of Montana and serves as an advisor to the business school. He’s an avid fly fisher, failed improv comedian, vigorous marathon runner and proud big brother.

We first met Mario and Jesse Lakes when they were doing NiftyTricks.com. Mario became an intern at Lewis and Clark 200, and he lived in the apartment downstairs at our office on the river. Our rhodesian ridgeback, Max, often ran with Mario serving as Mario's social secretary.

I always recognized Mario's sense of savvy, his integrity, and his drive. His is truly an amazing story. From intern to high-power executive ad man in just a couple of years.

Nowhere coola than Missoula!

Do not miss Mario in Montana!
