$160,000 grant from the Turner Foundation Inc. to benefit 12 schools from throughout the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming

Thanks to a two-year $160,000 grant from the Turner Foundation Inc., a network of 12 schools from throughout the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem now has access to an innovative educational approach. The EIC Model – using local Environments as Integrating Contexts for learning – works to improve students’ academic achievement while increasing their links to their communities.

Four schools each from Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming are being recruited for the Greater Yellowstone EIC School Network, according to a press release. Selected teaching teams will receive professional development in The EIC Model, including a week-long training institute, assistance with resource development, and evaluation services.
