The Missoula Area Economic Development Corp. http://maedc.org/ is seeking prospective employees for a national company that is considering Missoula for a new facility.

The company – which has asked not to be named – will send representatives for three interview sessions to be held at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 11.

The job description is as simple as it is enigmatic.

The company is looking for individuals with customer service and computer skills.

Wages would start at around $9 per hour and would include health and dental benefits, as well as a retirement package and tuition reimbursement. Anyone interested should contact MAEDC at 406-532-3201.

Here’s a little more information: This is an Atlanta-based company that is traded on the New York Stock Exchange and in 2003 reported earnings of $10.1 billion. Company representatives approached MAEDC director Dick King about six months ago to talk about expansion in Missoula.

But is not a done deal.

Missoula and one other city are in the running for the new facility. (There is no word on what the other town is.)

If the company came to Missoula, it would hire about 150 full-time employees right off the bat, King said. Those numbers would increase to a minimum of 400 by the end of the first year of operation. The facility would have the potential to provide between 720 and 900 full-time jobs in the long-term.

Good luck. Don’t forget to update your resume and dress sharp.
