New Guide for Policymakers on Education Data and Benchmarks

Education leaders throughout the U.S. and the National Center for Education Statistics joined forces to create, “The Forum Guide to Education Indicators.”

The guide serves as an education data user manual, particularly for policy makers at the local and district level. The report begins with a brief overview of how quantitative data when combined with qualitative assessments can be used to paint an accurate picture of student performance.

The report then provides detailed descriptions of 44 commonly used education benchmarks along with details on how to calculate each indicator.
