RightNow Technologies (Bozeman) acquires Convergent Voice

Bozeman software maker RightNow Technologies http://www.rightnow.com/ announced Monday it had acquired Convergent Voice, Inc., a voice-automation company based in Rochester, N.Y.

Voice is still the most fruitful way to communicate with customers, according to industry analysts. However, voice channel solutions have not seen the rapid innovations experienced within other customer engagement channels.

"Voice interactions still account for 60 percent to 90 percent of all interactions a company has with their customers and yet CRM (customer-relationship management) to date has focused either on internal processes or electronic customer interactions," Greg Gianforte, CEO and founder of RightNow, said in a prepared statement.
