Montana Chamber Transitions to "Interim" Efforts After Successful 2005 Legislature
Contrary to popular reports, the Legislature did not end April 21st, it just adjourned. We continued our work on one veto until last Monday, June 6. That’s the day votes were certified.
While SB 511 http://www.matr.net/article-14856.html (Sen. Jeff Mangan of Great Falls) lost most of its strong support during the Session, we still believe the idea of giving tax credits for investment in Montana companies has merit, so will pursue that during the Interim. We may follow the lead of Arizona who recently passed similar legislation http://www.matr.net/article-14641.html .
