Merger of Montana companies enhances telecommunications – Montana Advanced Information Network Inc. will become a division within Vision Net Inc.

The telecommunications field continues to change. Now, two sister companies, both created by rural Montana telephone cooperatives, are merging.

"It’s a natural progression," said Ron Warnick, Vision Net’s general manager. "We have a lot of natural alliances already."

Vision Net, which is based in Great Falls, was leasing space in MAIN’s office on the third floor of the Granite Tower in Billings.

"For customers, the only thing noticeable will be that suite of services that MAIN offers and Vision Net offers will be broader. We will be able to sell each other’s services." he said.
