Havre sports bra maker to be featured on ‘Oprah’ – Enell Sports Bra

It was a little bounce and jiggle that made Renelle Braaten certain Oprah, the queen of daytime television, would be a perfect customer for her patented sports bra.

"I was watching her show, and Oprah was on a treadmill, and I thought, ‘She needs one of these,’" the Havre businesswoman said.

The creator of the Enell Sports Bra http://www.enell.com also knew Oprah’s blessing would be priceless.

On Thursday, Braaten will get that blessing on national TV when Enell Sports Bras are featured on an "Oprah" segment about weight loss and fitness.

Enell Sports Bras are designed to allow larger-breasted women to exercise comfortably.

Nobody working at Enell Inc. had time to see the Havre-based company’s sports bra featured on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Thursday, but they knew it had aired.

"We didn’t realize it was going to start as early as it did," said company owner Renelle Braaten, as four different phone lines chimed to emphasize her point. It was 2:45 p.m. and the show had not yet aired on the West Coast.

The bra appeared on "Boot Camp Follow-Ups," an episode that checked in on people following a 12-week diet and workout plan Oprah advocates. The show included tips, such as a good sports bra for large-breasted women – the Enell. Quickly, the media mogul’s selling power was felt by Braaten in Havre.

One Chicago television station airs the show when it’s filmed, at 9 a.m. CST. That’s when the calls started coming in, Braaten said. Her eight employees were hard at work Thursday afternoon and expected it to continue for several days.
