A Report on Remaking Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century

The growing demand for skilled workers and the need for high school reform are two major policy concerns in preparing America’s workforce for the knowledge economy. Particularly, public and private leaders have called for more academic rigor and a seamless education pipeline increasing the number of high school graduates pursuing a postsecondary education.

The Jobs for the Future Report, “Remaking Career and Technical Education (CTE) for the 21st Century,” features a series of articles addressing how high school CTE programs can be utilized to boost the skills and career prospects of low to middle performing students.
