VLC’s departure opens doors for high-tech firms in Bozeman

One company’s move is another’s opportunity.

Two and a half years after VLC vacated its South Seventh Avenue building just west of the Museum of the Rockies, four companies and a Montana State University research lab have moved in.

The companies and MSU’s Spectrum Lab celebrated their new digs Tuesday during an open house that drew more than 150 people.

"This has been a great move for us," said Ron Cooper, director of program development for AdvR Inc. http://www.advr-inc.com/ , a laser research company. "We were just bursting at the seams on top of each other."
