Kansas Department of Commerce Offers Agritourism Workshop

An all-day workshop for tourism professionals and farmers and ranchers who are actively involved in agritourism.

The Kansas Department of Commerce will present "Agritourism: How to Attract More Customers, More Often!" an all-day workshop for tourism professionals and farmers and ranchers who are actively involved in agritourism. The workshop will be held at six locations around the state in April and May. Each workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The locations and dates are April 19 in Dodge City, April 21 in Colby, May 3 in Lawrence, May 5 in Chanute, May 17 in Salina, and May 19 in El Dorado.

The workshop is a component of Commerce’s Agritourism Initiative, designed to increase tourism revenues in Kansas. Agritourism is when the public visits a working farm, ranch, winery, or agricultural heritage site to enjoy activities, outdoor recreation, shopping, dining or lodging.
