Last week, the Federal Express office in Greensboro hosted a global video conference for a high-level corporate vice president. The office needed to look good; it was in need of painting and light maintenance — fast.

Rather than call multiple contractors, Gerald Topley, senior operations manager for FedEx in the Triad, contacted Shawn Poole, who owns and runs Xpicor Inc. His company cleans the FedEx offices, warehouses and has even volunteered to clean the trucks.

"I made one call," Topley says. "Shawn came out here and this place has never looked so good in 25 years."
