State Department official touts benefits of doing business in Ireland

A member of the U.S. State Department’s delegation in Ireland pitched the pluses of doing business with the European island nation to a roomful of Montana business leaders Monday at the University of Montana Business School http://www.business.umt.edu/ .

"The bottom line is this: We’re here to help Americans, help our companies reach out," said Dale Tasharski of the U.S. Commercial Service at the U.S. Embassy in Dublin – http://www.buyusa.gov/ireland .

Tasharski’s Missoula visit was part of a swing through the Inland Northwest. Last week he made similar pitches in Spokane and Boise.

"This is about outreach, about getting people interested" in building relationships with businesses in Ireland, he said.

His goal is to prompt Montana business owners to consider doing business in Ireland and to enter the European marketplace with an Irish partnership.
