GIS Instructor needed at UM Western

I need HELP. We were intending to offer a two-credit (30 contact hours)
introductory GIS class at UM-Western this spring and have suddenly lost the
instructor. It was scheduled to meet six consecutive Saturdays starting
March 19.

This is an Outreach class and they will pay mileage and meals as
well as the salary for an instructor (eg., from Butte, Bozeman, Missoula,
Helena area).

We advertised a class that would include a couple of hours of
lecture/demonstration/hands-on in the morning and three or so hours of
project work in the afternoon. Students would be expected to bring a
project of their own — I think most of them probably already have
something in mind. However, it would be possible to make some changes in
the proposed schedule to accommodate a new instructor.

We have students already enrolled who are counting on this class for thesis
project mapping, other project requirements, job applications, and
financial aid requirements. If you have experience teaching introductory
GIS and are interested in teaching this class, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Sheila Roberts
