Study will determine value of agriculture – "The Economic Impact of Agriculture to the Bitterroot Valley"

The Right to Farm and Ranch board, in partnership with the Bitter Root Land Trust, will conduct a study to determine the value of agriculture to Ravalli County.

The study will be titled "The Economic Impact of Agriculture to the Bitterroot Valley," said land trust director, Kristine Komar.

It will be a comprehensive look at the amount and type of agriculture land in the county and the social influences the land has on the valley’s citizens, she said.

"(The land) provides so much more to our economy other than what’s growing on it," she said.
