Entrepreneurs Require Special Legal Protection
January 18, 2005 /
Question: My wife is a registered architect working from our home. I’m concerned that our home and other assets may be in jeopardy should something go wrong on one of her jobs. She does a lot of high-end residential work and her clients are often successful lawyers who might not think twice about suing. She has relied on our accountant for business-structure advice, but I think she needs another view — from a legal standpoint. What’s the best way to set up her business?
