Wisconsin entrepreneurs get help to improve connections to Angels

A new state initiative aims to connect Wisconsin entrepreneurs with the early-stage capital and guidance they need to grow to the point where they can attract the attention of venture capital firms.

Gov. Jim Doyle announced the creation of the Wisconsin Angel Network, the latest component of a broader state effort to promote economic growth through small-business development.

Angel investors are typically wealthy individuals who invest between $250,000 and $1 million in young, unproven companies.
